The M16 is the most versatile and ergonomic combat rifle that most major weapons manufacturers around the world are making their own version. This program is intended to assist Armies and law enforcement around the world with thousands of decommissioned M16A1s and a limited budget to modernize and acquire modern assault rifles, instead of purchasing new rifles.
