Realizing stress in combat where there are multiple targets, moving targets, targets obscured and exposed for a short amount of time and unknown distances (no point of aim reference), degrades soldier ’ s performance. The Advance Combat Reticle Sight (ACRS 5.56X45) is a variable sighting system for close combat and targets up to 600 meters. The ACRS is a front focal plane illuminated reticle with combined range finding and bullet drop compensation (BDC). The 1.5 - 8x24 magnification is effective for low - light shooting and target identification. At 1.5 magnification, the horse shoe reticle is small and will act as a “ red dot ” for CQB distances. For longer ranges, ranging is achieved using circles that will fit the head of the target or the width of the shoulders with BDC combined for 5.56 caliber. Another special feature of the ACRS is the trigger point indicator. This feature will give a reference point when the shooter will start squeezing the trigger when the target is walking or running at different distances. HITTING TARGETS FASTER !
